About Co-curricular activity 

          The Gymkhana and Sports Department plays a vital role in promoting sports, physical fitness, and holistic personality development of students. With the support of the Honourable Management of Shikshan Vikas Mandal and the College Administration, the department nurtures discipline, leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The college provides facilities for indoor and outdoor games such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, and Carom, along with regular practice, coaching, and fitness activities.

  • Joining Procedure:
    At the beginning of each academic year, a Google Form link is shared with newly admitted students to enroll in sports of their choice. Orientation and awareness programmes are conducted, followed by selection of promising players for advanced training and University-level participation. The department also facilitates complete University Sports Registration.
  • Programmes / Activities:
    Annual Sports Festival, inter-class and inter-departmental competitions, selection trials, regular coaching, fitness training, yoga sessions, Sports Day celebrations, achievers’ felicitation, and participation in intercollegiate, zonal, and university tournaments.
  • Benefits / Rewards:
    Participation certificates, awards, attendance concession (as per norms), DA and travel support for tournaments, sports kits, and guidance for higher-level competitions. Sports activities help develop confidence, leadership, teamwork, and stress-management skills.
  • Facilities:
    Well-maintained outdoor playfields, indoor game facilities, sports equipment, fitness and warm-up areas, separate arrangements for boys and girls, and first-aid and safety support during events.

 

  • Achievements:
    Students have earned prizes and represented the college and university in various sports. The college has successfully hosted intercollegiate and zonal tournaments and received appreciation for effective organization.
